Two men were arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting a father and son leaving a popular restaurant in Tyler.

Tyler detective Andy Erbaugh said Justin Glaspie and Jacob McGuffey were in a car in the The Grove parking lot when a father and son walked in front of them. McGuffey honked the horn, then the older gentleman responded with an angry hand gesture.

McGuffey and Glaspie got out of the car and McGuffey punched the older gentleman in the face while Glaspie grabbed the son in a headlock and started to hit him.

A TABC officer was on sight and arrested both McGuffey and Glaspie. They were booked into the Smith County Jail on assault causing bodily injury, and later released, each on a $2,500 bond.
