Man arrested on parole violation, then charged with drug possession in Henderson County

A man wanted on a parole violation also was arrested and charged with drug possession in Henderson County.

David Thomsen, 51, was stopped for a traffic violation on Farm-to-Market Road 315, south of Chandler, according to a news release from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office.

Thomsen was wanted on an outstanding parole violation, according to the news release. Methamphetamines also were found in the vehicle.

Thomsen was taken to the Henderson County Jail for his parole violation warrant, and later charged with second-degree felony drug possession. 

The charge is punishable by a fine not to exceed $10,000 and up to 20 years in the Texas Department of Corrections.
